Apartment Review for The Verge Community - Sacramento, CA

I would not recommend this place even to my enemy! Security here is horrible. They have a few really good security guards but most of the young ones have favoritism towards most of the residents. There was one night where our security alarm was going off after office hours. I called security, and their phone number was changed. I walked over to the security "shack" and asked them what I should do. The security guard said that he doesn't handle that and didn't even offer to even walk up to my room to at least help turn it off. I ended up sleeping with the alarm going off every hour. Don't get me wrong though, they have some older looking security guards, and those are the ones that are helpful. However, I don't feel safe at all. There are fights going on every weekend and supposedly someone got stabbed here a year or two ago. You can easily find parking here. That's if you come home early enough. Appearance on the outside of the housing is nice. Maintenance keeps up with cleaning around it. Office staff is horrible. They have so much favoritism towards certain residents. My rental agent was really nice and everything, but she's no longer there. Some of the staff members are nice. When I went to ask them about my alarm, one of the agents got irritated and pissed off because she didn't want to help me. I left, and returned in an hour and another agent helped me. Maintenance is really nice. They're very quick in getting something fixed or when you ask for assistance. When I moved in, the condition of my unit was disgusting. There was already someone living in the unit when I moved in, but she was moving out the next day. When she moved out, nothing was cleaned. When I asked the office if there was something they could do about the mess, because there were stains on the kitchen floor and walls, they told me to clean it up. I was very upset about it. It was very disgusting having to clean up the mess. Also, my front door frame was busted. It looked like someone was trying to break in. This is a college apartment so noise level is very bad. Not a good place if you want some peace and quiet. Music is constantly being played, people yelling and screaming from parties every weekend and you can even hear your neighbors next door or above you having sex. Seriously people, if you want to have sex, be a little more quiet. No one wants to hear you moaning and screaming. Don't make the mistake I made. I'm glad I moved out.
